| What’s Personal is Most General... | |
This incredibly active, fun loving kid is now barely able to crawl out of bed to the bathroom some days, and is currently planning his life around conserving energy to attend at least a few classes daily and somehow keep up so he can graduate with his class. We are obviously very grateful this condition isn’t life threatening or worse, of course. And I started thinking (here it comes) about how important it is for him now to prioritize his time and energy. When you’ve only got so much juice, you have to be very careful how you use it. What would we let go of in a heartbeat if we absolutely had to? How could we conserve our energy by saying no to the activities and commitments that drain the life out of us? What could we accomplish if we did? Learning to “say no and let go” is a life changing lesson. I’m sorry for Andrew that he’s got to attend the hard knocks school to learn it, but aren’t those the classes we remember best? THIS WEEK’S NEW ARTICLE: Step into A.C.T™ion with my 3 step plan for prioritizing every area of your life. Read on below. . . To POWERful living,
Robin

The A.C.T.™ Profile is a simple 3 step plan for deciding what you want – and getting maximum results! Use this process to help you define your goals in your core life areas:
A – Ask yourself what it is you want. Get crystal clear on your vision. Create a personal vision statement if necessary. Do not entertain any choices that are not in line with your vision. This step alone will eliminate at least half of all considerations. Make this a simple process – just a sentence or two about what it is you really want in each life area. C – Create a plan – a success blueprint. Once you know what it is you want, you need a plan on how to get there. This becomes your map or “GPS” (Goal Planning System). It will give you focus and motivation and keep you from becoming overwhelmed. List the optimal outcome you wish to achieve. Be as detailed as possible. Think in terms of the absolute best case scenario – what is it that you truly desire as an outcome of this action? Do not include anything that is not in line with your vision statement for how you want your life to be. T – Take daily, consistent action! Develop a 3D mindset! In order to succeed at your goals you will need: Desire – Direction – Discipline. Take baby steps. One small action taken toward your goal, consistently every day is better than taking a chunk here and there. This is called the “swiss cheesing” effect and it really works. DO NOT beat yourself up when you experience setbacks of any kind. The action plan is never fixed. Be flexible and recognize when something isn’t working and take steps to revise, revamp, review, and whatever is necessary to get back on track. Helpful tips:

| What’s Up – And Thank You! | |
The new blog website is in the works and should be up and running by Thanksgiving. This will allow me to interact with you on a more personal basis and you’ll have access to information in many more areas of life organization including:
I’m still working on assembling a cast of characters for my expert teleclass series – stay tuned for that – a new ebook and 2 new reports which will also be out by Thanksgiving. A webinar class will be available in December for organizing your office – if you’ve never tried one before please check it out, it’s easy and fun. I’d love to do a couple of free workshops too, but those may have to wait until January. The next ezine will also have an audio format – so you’ll have the option to listen to the feature article as well. In mid-2008 I’ll be launching the Chaos to Confidence Professional Organizer Training University which I am very excited about – especially since I have made SO many mistakes over the years, I have lots of hard knocks expertise to share. I’m not sure anyone was more naïve than I was when I started this business almost 8 years ago! Thank you so much for sticking with me – and welcome to the new subscribers – I am passionate about helping you create your own life in order. I’ll see you next week. . . |
